Cette fois, il concerne les pl\u00e9nums d\u2019admission, ces volumes o\u00f9 l\u2019air comprim\u00e9 par le turbo s\u2019accumule avant d\u2019\u00eatre inject\u00e9 dans les cylindres. En d\u00e9cembre dernier, la FIA a modifi\u00e9 le r\u00e8glement technique sur deux points majeurs. D\u2019abord, la pr\u00e9cision selon laquelle le taux de compression doit \u00eatre mesur\u00e9 \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante \u2014 un ajout loin d\u2019\u00eatre anodin au regard des soup\u00e7ons apparus peu apr\u00e8s. Ensuite, une clarification sur la d\u00e9finition des pl\u00e9nums : tout \u00e9l\u00e9ment du syst\u00e8me d\u2019admission d\u00e9passant une surface minimale doit d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme tel. La f\u00e9d\u00e9ration a \u00e9galement pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 qu\u2019il pouvait exister plus de deux pl\u00e9nums, y compris un par cylindre. Autre \u00e9volution notable : l\u2019\u00e9largissement des mat\u00e9riaux autoris\u00e9s, avec l\u2019introduction des alliages d\u2019acier, d\u2019aluminium et de titane, jusque-l\u00e0 exclus au profit des seuls composites (hors inserts). Mais cette tol\u00e9rance ne sera valable qu\u2019en 2026 : d\u00e8s 2027, les pl\u00e9nums m\u00e9talliques seront \u00e0 nouveau interdits. Ce calendrier intrigue. Comme lors de l\u2019affaire du DAS de Mercedes en 2020, la FIA semble avoir valid\u00e9 une solution conforme au texte, tout en la bannissant pour l\u2019avenir.
